Warning Messages
Warnings flag risk before someone loses work, access, or data. Be clear about consequences and distinguish “you can proceed” from “you cannot proceed.”
Writing guidelines
- Title states the risk (“You’ll lose unsaved edits”).
- Body explains impact and time sensitivity if relevant.
- Actions: destructive on the left or secondary; safe default emphasized.
- Don’t use warnings for routine info—that trains people to ignore them.
